So all the earthquake food arrived (phew!). Now I just need to store water, water and more water (and keep the cat food stocked) and I'm good to go.
Actually -- I still need a tent and/or tarp, rope to hang said tarp, a swiss army knife, matches in water-proof container. A pot that's easy to heat up water in (for that 30 year dried food I bought).
But essentials are mostly done.
Earthquake preparedness may give me the excuse I've been looking for to buy an outdoor firepit. That would heat water nicely.
