Earthquake! 5.4 no biggie

First recorded as a 5.6.  Now a 5.4.  We weren't at the epicenter, it was about 10 miles south-east of us.  It rolled and felt fairly long, though I'm sure it was only 30seconds to a minute max.  Not like the Northridge earthquake which seemed like a minute to a minute and half and very jagged.  Most of the students left the building and most of the staff stayed put.  There are now about 15 news vans out in front of the USGS building.  Earthquakes are always a major deal here.

MsE is fine.  Nothing fell off her shelves or my shelves.  Cats were inside so all is good.   The map is cool.  Too bad the square is not red.  It was much cooler when it was red!

Wow! It's never dull in California. Can't believe it was so close. Do you have supplies if a big one comes?
